Operational Assurance Report
Fire and Rescue Service Circular (FRSC) 21/2005 was published by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) on 14 June 2005. Its purpose is to provide a self-assessment ‘toolkit’ for use in improvement planning,to reassure the public and ministers of the operational effectiveness of their fire & rescue service. Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service has used the toolkit as a diagnostic tool, to look critically at our delivery of frontline service to the public, in comparison with other Fire and Rescue Services.
Electronic Service Delivery Plan 2005-2010
The government’s Implementing Electronic Government (IEG) process initially stipulated that Fire and Rescue Services were required to indicate their progress towards 100 per cent electronic service delivery by December 2005, which would be supported by central funding. Part of the process is to review the plan on an annual basis in order to assess whether it is meeting the set and agreed targets. This review was completed in November 2006 and the amended version is available for download.
