We are seeking to appoint an experienced support technician with strong desktop and application skills, and people management skills. You will be leading a small team supporting users on the Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority LANs and WAN, remote networking, PCs, laptops and IT security.
For this role you need a strong network and PC support background with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Structured Query Language, Microsoft Office Products, Mocrosoft Outlook and Exchange. You will have experience of anti-virus software (MacAfee Endpoint Suite preferred) and system back-up and recovery.
You will need to be a flexible individual who is an effective communicator and able to work with minimum supervision and often to tight deadlines.
A driving licence is essential as there will be a regular need to travel around the areas of responsibility.
The starting salary is on band 5, which equates to £26,186 on the support staff salary band. This position is offered on Green Book terms and conditions.
