Firefighters and Urban Search and Rescue technicians were called to Wing early on Saturday morning after a car collided with a house. It happened in Littleworth at about 1.30am.
The crash left the front door hanging off and the supporting door lintel unstable.
Firefighters from Aylesbury and Leighton Buzzard secured the house and made sure the residents got out safely.
Two Urban Search and Rescue vehicles were then mobilised from Beaconsfield following concerns over the safety of the building. They were USAR Module One, a lorry containing technical search, initial access and building triage equipment, and the USAR Support Vehicle
Four technicians built two timber double-T posts to capture the lintel and the brickwork behind it. They then built a three-post vertical shore to secure the first floor. The owner was then able to re-enter the house to collect clothing and insurance details.
The incident was left with the owner, who was waiting for his insurance company and the building surveyor to attend.
