Fire in industrial units - Downley

Around 50 firefighters and officers have been at the scene of a fire involving industrial units at Downley Common, Downley, this morning

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service was called at 3.37am. Eleven appliances and crews from High Wycombe, Marlow, Princes Risborough, Stokenchurch, Beaconsfield and Aylesbury attended, along with a number of officers.

Special appliances used included a turntable ladder, a water tanker, an operational support unit and a hose-layer.

A number of acetylene cylinders are currently being cooled and a 200-metre exclusion zone has been set up for 24 hours. Three crews are remaining at the site.
