Police are appealing for witnesses after a deliberate fire in Marlow this morning.
Between 8am and 8.25am, a hedge and tree were set on fire at Marlow Cemetery in Wethered Road. A member of the public spotted the fire and rang Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service.
Firefighters from Marlow Fire Station managed to extinguish the blaze before it could spread any further. Slight damage was caused to the hedge and tree, but no-one was injured in the fire.
PC Chris Carr, investigating the incident, said: “We believe this was a deliberate act of arson and I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed any suspicious activity.”
