Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision that occurred on Saturday near Amersham.

At around 1.55pm, a green Honda Jazz was travelling along the A404, Amersham Road, towards Amersham, when it left the road at the junction with Penn Street, entering a ditch and rolling onto its side.

The driver, a 73-year-old woman from Holmer Green, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her relatives have been informed.  

Firefighters from Amersham and Beaconsfield were among the emergency services at the scene.

Thames Valley Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the car before the collision.
