Ten people were evacuated from a bus this afternoon after a fire broke out in the engine compartment.

It happened in Station Road, Beaconsfield, at the junction with Candlemas Lane. A crew from Beaconsfield Fire Station was called at 5.05pm.

After seeing everyone safely off the bus, the driver tackled the fire with a foam extinguisher. Firefighters finished the job off with a hose reel.
