Charity car wash - Waddesdon

5 October 2011

Waddesdon Fire Station is holding an eight-hour charity car wash on Saturday 15 October. Firefighters will be cleaning cars in return for donations, from 9am to 5pm, and splitting the proceeds between two charities.

The Fire Fighters Charity - a national charity which provides assistance to serving and retired fire and rescue service staff, their families and dependants – will receive 50 per cent of the donations. The remaining half will be put towards the annual Christmas party, which is run by the Waddesdon crew for the village's children.

Family and friends of the station’s staff have been called in to provide support to the event, and to make sure the car wash will run smoothly if the duty crew is called out to respond to an emergency incident.

Waddesdon Fire Station is in High Street, Waddesdon. Click here to go to its home page.
