Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in High Wycombe last night.

At about 11.45pm, a green Ford Fiesta, travelling from the Cressex area of High Wycombe towards West Wycombe Road, was involved in a collision with a green Nissan Primera travelling in the opposite direction on New Road.

The driver of the Fiesta, a 41-year-old man, from High Wycombe, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the Primera, both women, received serious injuries and were taken to hospital.

Firefighters from High Wycombe and Beaconsfield were among the emergency services at the scene.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses who saw any of these vehicles in the New Road area to contact the investigation team on 08458 505505 quoting URN 1794 of 29/10/10.
