Firefighters used high-pressure airbags to release a man trapped underneath a van following a collision in Aylesbury this morning.

Firefighters from Aylesbury and Princes Risborough and Urban Search and Rescue crews from Aylesbury were called to Friarage Road at 9.39am.

The man, a pedestrian, was involved in a collision with the van following a collision between a bus and another van.

Station Manager Neil Boustred from Aylesbury Fire Station said: "Firefighters were able to free the pedestrian after lifting the van using high-pressure airbags. Our Urban Search and Rescue crews were on standby with heavy duty rams and airbags."

The pedestrian has been taken to hospital. Another man was also taken to hospital.
