The deadline for applying to be an on-call firefighter in Buckinghamshire or Milton Keynes has been extended by five weeks to allow more people to come forward.
Since Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service launched its latest Retained Duty System (RDS) recruitment campaign earlier this month, more than 50 people have sent in applications.
The original closing date of 22 May has now been moved to 26 June to give people more time to consider the opportunity.
The fire stations seeking RDS applications are Amersham, Bletchley, Brill, Broughton, Chesham, Great Holm, Great Missenden, Marlow and Stokenchurch.
If you would like to find out more about working as an RDS firefighter in Buckinghamshire or Milton Keynes, or if you are an employer interested in allowing your employees to participate, ring the information pack hotline on 01296 744670 or email rdsrecruitment@bucksfire.gov.uk
