Motorbike drop-in sessions - Winslow

1 June 2009

Motorcyclists are being invited to an informal drop-in session with free refreshments at Winslow Fire Station on Sunday 14 June. It will run from 10am to 2pm.

Keith Wheeler, Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service’s road safety manager – and a keen motorcyclist himself – said: “Nationally, motorcyclists account for about one per cent of road traffic but more than 15 per cent of fatalities in collisions.

“With traffic conditions these days, it's more important than ever that you can deal with the unexpected.

“This session will give us an opportunity to talk to bikers about training courses in the area and to pass on information to help make them safer riders.”

Motorcyclists who cannot attend on 14 June are invited to a second drop-in session at Winslow Fire Station from 10am to 2pm on Sunday 12 July.
