27 December 2009
An investigation has begun following the discovery of a body at a house in Wolverton this afternoon.
Firefighters from Great Holm Fire Station were called to the home in Windsor Street at 12.28pm, along with officers from Thames Valley Police.
Roy Harold, Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service's Assistant Chief Fire Officer, said: "When they arrived it became apparent that there had been a fire in the kitchen either on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. The body of a woman was found in the sitting room.
"An investigation is taking place to find out exactly what happened. This is a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who has died."
