Saturday’s charity car wash at Great Missenden Fire Station raised a total of £850.

Firefighters were washing cars from 10am to 4pm in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity, which provides assistance to serving and retired fire and rescue service staff, their families and dependants.

Watch Manager Bryan Tomes said: “It was a good day with a steady flow of cars all the time.

"We would like to thank the local community for the tremendous support they gave us during this event, and also the many helpers who kept us supplied with refreshments."
