Firefighters have been out and about in Iver Heath today to draw attention to a forthcoming fire safety awareness day.

Blue Watch from Gerrards Cross Fire Station delivered leaflets to hundreds of homes inviting residents to meet them at the Co-op in Thornbridge Road on Sunday 28 June.

Watch Manager Andy Maloney and his crew will be on hand to answer questions about fire safety and arrange to carry out free fire safety checks in people’s homes, fitting free smoke alarms where required. They will be there from 10am.

Andy said: “Please come and talk to us about any fire safety concerns you have. We are looking forward to meeting as many people as possible, providing them with fire safety information and encouraging them to sign up for one of our free checks.”

Blue Watch are planning to visit Iver Heath again within the next few days to hand out more leaflets. The shops in Thornbridge Road are displaying posters advertising the day.
