Fatal collision - appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision that occurred this morning near Amersham.

At around 2.22am a silver Rover 420 with five occupants was travelling along the A413, London Road, towards Amersham, when it left the road and collided with a lamp post.

A 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman were declared dead at the scene.

The driver, a 29-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He is currently in a critical condition.

A 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

PC James Hoskins, who is investigating the collision, said: “I would like to hear from anyone that may have seen the car prior to the collision or who witnessed the collision itself.”
