Expressions of interest - Gazetteer Management System

Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority invites expressions of interest from software system providers for a Gazetteer Management System
The software must be compliant with BS7666:2006 standard and able to load data in DTF 7.3
- The system must be able to load NLPG data for the entire country if required as well as NSG and ASD
- The system must be capable of importing Change Only Updates via a FTP from the hub
- A validation process must be included, reporting errors to specified users
- An Export facility using common windows format
- Interoperable with GIS
- Web access for remote users
- Multi-user access with the ability to set securities using Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service active directory
- A search facility that can interrogate several data sets if required
- The solution must interface to existing Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service back office applications
- The software solution should provide a mirror of the gazetteer to interface with the mobilising system ‘Fortek Vision FX’
- It must be possible to use the Candidate process for uploading change/requests to the national hub
- A full system support mechanism and training programme from supplier
- An interface with Regional Control Centre project
- There must be a facility to add local only records
Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service currently has approximately 2.5 million NLPG records in its gazetteer in the Fortek Vision FX mobilising system.
The system must also offer ease of connectivity, with no single point of failure and ease of management.
The closing date for response is 8 January 2010 at midday.
