There will be eight changes to the line-up of Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority when it holds its annual meeting later this month.
The authority comprises 14 members nominated by Buckinghamshire County Council and seven nominated by Milton Keynes Council. Members make decisions about Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service on behalf of the residents of the two areas.
Four of the changes are as a result of the Buckinghamshire County Council elections on 4 June, as Councillors Dennis Green and Frank Sweatman retired and Councillors Steve Adams and Alan Oxley were not re-elected.
Buckinghamshire County Council has named seven new members for 2009-10 -Councillors Douglas Anson MBE, Mohammad Bhatti, Michael Brand, Adrian Busby, Dev Dhillon, Paul Rogerson and David Schofield.
The other seven members from Buckinghamshire County Council are Councillors Mary Baldwin, Patricia Birchley, Hedley Cadd, Avril Davies, David Rowlands, Pauline Wilkinson MBE and Robert Woollard.
The new member appointed by Milton Keynes Council is Councillor Alan Richards. The other six members from Milton Keynes Council are Councillors Andy Dransfield, Reg Edwards, Catriona Morris, Sam Potts, Cec Tallack and Barbara Wright.
Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority's next meeting is on Thursday 25 June, starting at 11am. It will be held at Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service's headquarters in Stocklake, Aylesbury, and is open to the public.
