Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service will be taking part in a community event in High Wycombe on Sunday 11 October, organised to help residents gain information on opportunities open to them and information accessible to them.
The free event, held between 12pm and 4pm at the Castlefield Community Centre and Castlefield School, has been organised by the Castlefield-Oakridge Trust in partnership with statutory agencies and aims to help encourage community cohesion and provide information from education, youth, health and wellbeing and emergency services to make residents better aware of the facilities and support available to them.
Attractions include a bouncy castle, bungee run, magic carpet slide, and challenges from local sports clubs including Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, while children will be able to try out the Firefighter Experience – a mobile community safety activity centre.
There will also be the chance to visit the Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service community safety exhibition unit where there will be plenty of opportunities to pick up road and fire safety packs and free goodies.
