Firefighters from Bletchley Fire Station were able to collect £1,420.23 for charity on Saturday thanks to generous donations from the public.
Blue Watch from Bletchley Fire Station held a flag day in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity outside Tesco in Bletchley from 9.30am to 4pm.
They were joined by Firefighter Daisy Beckett from Green Watch at Great Holm, who recently took part in a sky dive to raise money for the charity.
Firefighters also handed out fire safety information to shoppers and invited them to have free safety checks in their homes.
Watch Manager Bob Stilton aid: “We were very pleased with the amount raised and we would like to thank everyone for supporting the collection.”
The Fire Fighters Charity provides assistance to serving and retired fire and rescue service staff, their families and dependants. It helps over 13,500 people every year by providing pioneering treatment and support services.
