Camper homes to be auctioned

The British Red Cross are selling off two of their Fire & Emergency Support Service camper homes based at Bletchley and Marlow Fire Stations.

The vehicles, based on Peugeot Boxer chassis, have been used to offer support and practical help to people involved in emergency incidents.

Facilities include shower, toilet, cooker, fridge, carpets throughout, leisure battery and gas bottle and connections.

The vehicle based at Bletchley Fire Station was registered on 23 May 2001, registration number Y881 FTW. Its MoT is valid until 5 April 2009 and it has 9,388 miles on the clock.

It has a two-litre diesel engine and a manual gearbox. It has recently been replaced with a new vehicle. Offers in the region of £10,500 are sought.

The other vehicle started its working life in Oxfordshire and came across to Buckinghamshire in June 2006. It is currently based at Marlow Fire Station, where it is still in service. It will released shortly on arrival and acceptance of its replacement.

It was registered on 30 January 1998, registration number R776 EBM. Its MoT is valid until  February 2010 and it has 17,543 miles on the clock. It has a 2.5 litre diesel engine and a manual gearbox. Offers in the region of £9,500 are sought.

Sealed bids, marked for the attention of Makyla Greaves, should be sent to her at Brigade Workshops, Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service, Stocklake, Aylesbury, HP20 1BD, by 12 noon on Friday 27 February.
