Firefighters helped keep traffic disruption to a minimum this afternoon after a lorry containing roof trusses became stuck under a bridge.
A crew from Amersham Fire Station was called to the incident in Station Road, Little Chalfont, at 12.06pm.
Watch Manager Dave Miller said: “Fortunately the driver was not trapped, but the incident was creating a potentially unsafe environment for other road users.
“Some of the roof trusses had become wedged under the bridge and we had to remove some of the load and cut about 10 of them up before the driver could go on his way.”
Firefighters completed the job in about 15 minutes.
