Come and see us at Waddesdon Manor

11 September 2008

Come and see us at Saturday's community and emergency services day at Waddesdon Manor from 10am to 5pm!

Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service is teaming up with Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service and Buckinghamshire County Council to put on a day for all the family.

Firefighters from Waddesdon Fire Station will be bringing their fire engine along, and members of the Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service community safety team will be running a safety display on their mobile exhibition unit.

There will also be police cars, police dogs, an ambulance, a police helicopter fly-past and the Mix 96 slide.

Visitors will have free admission to Waddesdon Manor and its gardens, along with the woodland playground and explorer trail.

Ali Angus, Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service's community safety co-ordinator, said: "We are particularly keen to let everyone know about the free fire safety checks we carry out in people's homes. We will be handing out leaflets and hope to sign up as many people as possible."
