Events raise £1,000 for Warwickshire fund

26 November 2007

Events organised by firefighters on Saturday raised more than £1,000 for the families of the four firefighters who tragically lost their lives in Warwickshire earlier this month.

Buckingham Fire Station staged a car wash, which raised £500, and Newport Pagnell Fire Station held a car boot sale, which brought in £575.64.

The Warwickshire Firefighters Families Fund was set up after a warehouse fire which claimed the lives of Ian Reid, 44, Darren Yates-Badley, 24, John Averis, 27, and Ashley Stephens, 20.
