Friday 25 January, 8.20am: Fire at pig unit (40 by 10m) containing about 1,000 piglets, Winslow Road, Great Horwood. One appliance and crew from Buckingham (call sign BUC1), one from Winslow (call sign WIN3) and one from Bletchley (call sign BLE1) attended along with Station Managers Terry Healy and Dave Norris. 30 per cent of the unit was involved in fire. About 250 piglets have died as a result of the fire.
