Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority would like to hear from building and construction companies who wish to express an interest in bidding for a contract focussing on the design and installation of an electrical rewire and mechanical plant upgrade alongside minor building works at Bletchley Fire Station.
Following on from an external condition survey, Buckinghamshire & Milton Keynes Fire Authority is seeking those organisations who would be interested in carrying out such a project.
It will cover such areas as the installation of new electrical wiring throughout the buildings, improvement of existing systems to include mains distribution, supply of new boilers and heating systems throughout and some minor building works to coincide with the upgrade to the buildings. There will also be a requirement for total asbestos removal to comply with current legislation.
The overall contract value for these works is up to 500k, with the initial phase 1 of contract being a value up to 180k.
Due to the current economic environment and the uncertainty of the capital funding for 2012/13, the second phase will only proceed once final funding streams are assured.
Specification for both phases of works will be issued and the tender process in its entirety will be inclusive of both phases.
To express an interest in the project, please contact: Mark Culley, Procurement Officer, mculley@bucksfire.gov.uk, 01296 744692.
For more information, please contact: Gordon Wylie, Property Manger, gwylie@bucksfire.gov.uk, 01296 744691.
The deadline for expressing an interest in this project is 5pm on Wednesday 5 October 2011.
