Wholetime shift stations (Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Bletchley, Broughton, Great Holm and High Wycombe)

Staff are employed on a continuous shift basis. The station is crewed 24 hours a day. There are four watches to the station - Red, White, Blue and Green.

• Each day shift (D) runs from 9am to 6pm
• Each night shift (N) runs from 6pm to 9am
• Each rota (R) is a day off duty

Here is an example of the shift pattern:

Wholetime day-crewed stations (Amersham, Buckingham, Gerrards Cross and Newport Pagnell)

Staff are employed on a full time basis during the day and respond to personal pagers in the evening. There are two watches to the station - Red and Blue

• Each day shift (D) runs from 9am till 6pm with evening cover by pager
  
• Each rota (R) is a day off duty

Retained stations (Brill, Chesham, Great Missenden, Haddenham, Marlow, Olney, Princes Risborough, Stokenchurch, Waddesdon and Winslow)

• Staff are employed on the Retained Duty System and respond from either their normal place of work or from home using a pager.
