| Description |
Course overview: This course is tailored to the specialist needs of the hotel industry. It is designed to give hotel staff the knowledge and confidence to respond positively in the event of an emergency in order to protect guests, members of the public and colleagues
Who should attend: All hotel staff as part of their induction or continuation training
Objectives: At the end of the course the student will:
- Be aware of the dangers of fire
- Understand what to do in the event of a fire alarm
- Be able safely to evacuate the building
Content:
- Causes and effects of fire
- Means of escape
- Fire routines
- Fire drills and evacuation
- Responding to an outbreak of fire
- Practical ‘first-aid’ firefighting on live fire
