Course Overview: |

To provide staff who work at petroleum sites a knowledge of the legal requirements of storage and use, and a level of training which will ensure the effective management of fire safety incidents so as to safeguard members of the public and other site personnel. |

Objectives: |

At the end of the course the student will:
- Be aware of the dangers of fire in a petroleum environment
- Understand the nature of fire and how it spreads
- Be aware of simple fire prevention measures
- Understand what to do in the event of a fire alarm
- Be able to distinguish between different types of fire extinguishers
- Be able to tackle small fires safely and effectively
