What people say about our Home Fire Risk Checks

'A positive and reassuring service'

Letter received on 17 August 2006 from a householder near Buckingham:

I recently took up the opportunity you offer of a free Home Fire Risk Check. Two of your team from Buckingham Fire Station came to advise me and to fit smoke alarms.

I would like to thank you and them for such a positive and reassuring service. I have three young children, two of whom have Cerebral Palsy, and I feel so much more confident that we might survive a fire with safety measures now explained and in place.

Please pass my appreciation on to your team in Buckingham. I would like to congratulate them on their efficiency, professionalism and good humour. Their explanation of safety measures was well thought out, clear and simple and the fitting of smoke alarms made to look impressively easy and mess free.

I would like, also, to congratulate you on such a wonderful and sensible community service and thank you, once again, for giving me the reason to write an appreciative and positive letter.

'Care, thoroughness and valuable advice'

Letter received on 16 August 2006 from a householder in Marlow:

I am writing to express my appreciation of the visit by Messrs Warren and Jameson of Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service to advise on the fire safety precautions etc on these premises.

Their care, throroughness and valuable advice was most useful and given very professionally.

Thank you for this assistance towards ensuring our safety.
