Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service has a fine tradition of service to the community protecting life and property in the event of fire. An equally important part of the service is to prevent unwanted fires.
Education programmes, particularly for school age children, are a significant way of promoting fire prevention in the community.
The Community Fire Safety section promotes fire safety in the home and aims to improve on awareness of the dangers of fire to all ages, all communities and all ethnic groups within the fire brigades' area. To achieve these goals, the Fire Authority has entered into partnership agreements with the local authorities, police, voluntary groups and other organisations. These have led to a wide range of schemes and projects being undertaken, moving towards our goal of a safer community.
